Grounded in respectful listening and a search for truth that has both intellectual and spiritual dimensions, this experiential travel aims to have participants reach a deeper individual and collective understanding of the relationship between and among war, justice, and sustainable peace. Centering our attention on trust, concern, and respect, we will explore together what is required in order to meet our aspirations to live and learn in community on the Haverford College campus and globally, especially with regard to Israel/Palestine.
This group trip is designed for members of the Haverford community who wish to deepen their knowledge and understanding of the religious, cultural, and political history and significance of the area sometimes referred to as The Holy Land, while also delving into how Haverfordians have applied their knowledge and experience in Palestine and Israel over many decades. While journeying across a small area of land that continues to shape international relations and world history, participants will visit some of the sites that have historical significance and are central to both current affairs and a vision of a better future.
*Double occupancy; pricing determined according to final group size from 10-15 travelers
