Join CBST for our first trip congregation-wide Trip to Israel & the Palestinian Territories since 2018. We are excited to partner with MEJDI Tours for a nine-day experience narrated by both Jewish & Palestinian voices in the land. At a time when so much of the Israeli and Palestinian experience has been dominated by soundbites and erased by not lifting up personal stories, this trip is an opportunity to connect with other CBSTers while we meet artists & activists, explore politics & possibility, and stretch our comfort zones with new ideas and ideals. This trip is called “queer” to honor CBST’s story as an LGBTQ+ synagogue for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities, and to explore our connections to queer people and organizations in the land, engage with people of multiple perspectives, and honor the ways that queer community has centered the visibility and value of each person.

MEJDI was one of the first global tour companies to earn B Corp Certification back in 2014, long before B Corp became widely recognized beyond sustainability circles. For us, this certification is a transparent way to demonstrate that we stand by our values: we ensure local vendors are paid fair wages, prioritize small, locally-owned businesses, and treat our partners and staff with dignity and respect. This deep commitment to social change drives MEJDI’s mission: “We exist to create a more peaceful and interconnected world through travel.”
