Journey through the American South on a reflective exploration of the Civil Rights Movement—past and present. This six-day, multi-city tour highlights key moments in the historic struggle and initiatives working to carry forward its legacy. Travel from Atlanta’s Sweet Auburn district through downtown Montgomery, walk the bridge from Selma, step inside the sanctuaries of Birmingham, and absorb the melodies of Memphis. Immersive site visits, guided touring and conversations with experts foster a deeper understanding of race, faith, and freedom in America; hearing the voices of movement veterans and contemporary activists inspires commitment to the ongoing struggle for racial justice.

*Double occupancy, per person pricing based on group size from 10-16 travelers. Lower price applies to the largest group (16), highest price applies to a group of 10 total travelers.

MEJDI was one of the first global tour companies to earn B Corp Certification back in 2014, long before B Corp became widely recognized beyond sustainability circles. For us, this certification is a transparent way to demonstrate that we stand by our values: we ensure local vendors are paid fair wages, prioritize small, locally-owned businesses, and treat our partners and staff with dignity and respect. This deep commitment to social change drives MEJDI’s mission: “We exist to create a more peaceful and interconnected world through travel.”
