Current Spanish students are invited to join CRLC on this colorful and culturally rich journey to Guatemala, the land of eternal spring.

From the vibrant streets of Guatemala City and the colonial charm of Antigua to the breathtaking beauty of Lake Atitlán, this experience offers a unique opportunity to explore the country’s rich cultural heritage, history, and contemporary realities. Along the way, engage with local community leaders, artisans, educators, and entrepreneurs, gaining firsthand insight into Guatemala’s indigenous traditions, social challenges, and innovative community initiatives.

This trip includes 12 hours of customized Spanish classes held before and during the trip so travelers can learn vocabulary specific to Guatemala and practice it in real time while exploring the rich Maya culture. Escape the New York winter and use your Spanish at the markets, in the restaurants and with the artisans from the coffee, chocolate, and weaving cooperatives that we’ll visit. Miriam will be the lead Spanish instructor, and Kim will help with logistics before and during the trip.

*Double occupancy, per person pricing based on a minimum of 12 travelers in the group. Single occupancy supplement available.

Group Leader

Kim Andersen, CRLC Founder & Director

This will be my fourth time leading students to a Spanish-speaking country. Having traveled extensively for the past 30 years, including four years living in Paraguay, I’ve learned how to connect with people from all over the world, encourage other travelers to get out of their comfort zones, and navigate the unpredictable. This is the first time we will travel with another CRLC teacher, and I’m so excited to have Miriam on the trip to further encourage students using Spanish with the people we’ll meet. So many of our students study with CRLC to travel and connect with others, and this is the perfect opportunity! Please join us as we bridge cultures and connect with communities abroad.
